Surgical Procedures

For unusual or complex veins or venous ulcers, surgical procedures may be necessary. Our board certified surgeons are experienced in treating venous insufficiencies. Surgery is performed by making a small incision in the skin and then removing or tying off the blood vessel. Local, spinal or general anesthesia is typically administered in the hospital and most patients are released the following day.
